On April 28th, the Glenvar Youth Boosters had their "Opening Day" for baseball.  This year, Darren is the head coach of Tyson's team.  Their team name is called "Storm"!  The parents are loving the uniforms.  They are pretty cool looking, but I wonder how the boys will feel about them come early June!  The sun and the color black don't go hand in hand.
#7 hiding behind his hat! He was super excited!!!
This kid is really my 7 year old!
Hard to believe.
He looks so grown up!
As "team mom", ha ha, would you have guessed.
I had the team line up for a team photo!
Ty shows off his little brother!
The team lines up, waiting to be introduced
And in preparation to run on the field!
Let the game begin!
Coach D stand near first base to cheer his team on!

I love a man in uniform!
Wait, let me rephrase that...
I love MY MAN in uniform!!!  LOL!
Coach Nick gets ready to throw the first pitch!
And the first "game ball" goes to Joshua Prillaman!!!!!

Our team is amazing this year.
While we are NOT supposed to keep score, we can't help it!
We slaughtered them!

The team finally gets introduced on opening day!
The next game is Monday, April 30th,
If anyone is interested in coming out to support our team!

Lilah's FIRST Round of Bedding!!!

So my children, ALL OF THEM, have gotten new bedroom furniture over the last 2 months.  Why haven't you seen it?  I'm sure you could guess.  I am an absolute perfectionist!!!!  I have been looking for months and months, but I have NOT yet found the "perfect" bedding for ANY ROOM!  Why is it, when you are looking for something you can't find it, but when you are NOT looking for something, it's right at your disposal.

Anyway, I finally spotted something for Lilah that I thought was girly, modern, crisp, and would travel well with her for many years. So I ordered it.  I had been eyeing the color purple for months, but this "pool" color really caught my eye.  This bedding also comes in a purple and black combo.

When the bedding arrived, I noticed the brand new, out of the wrapper, duvet cover was damaged.  So luckily, for the inconvenience, pottery barn teen is sending me the purple set to help me see which color I like better.  For now, here is Lilah's room.

Please keep in mind... this room is entirely UNFINISHED!  No paint, no accents (such as light/lamps/pillows/curtains.  So don't judge it entirely YET, but if you don't mind, give me your honest thoughts form what you do see below!!!!

Having a little girl is so much fun!  When Lilah saw her bedding she was excited, but the boys were tickled to death.  They insisted on helping me push the pillows into the new pillow cases and help me "dress" her bed!!!!  Lilah's room is oversized.  She is one lucky girl because that means we have some extra special things that can fit in there, like the vanity from pottery barn I am eyeing.

I cannot wait to complete one room and move on to the next.  BABY STEPS!!!
Bedding option #1 has arrived!!!
The view of Lilah's room from the hallway!
Up close!!!
I threw her purple pillow pet on her bed to see if purple would be a nice accent color!
A peak of her room from a different angle!
See the "polka dot wall"?
I plan to do this technique on her wall IF I keep the bedding.
 Of course I will use a color paint that coordinates with her bedding!

A Jax Funny!!!

Jax is such a character.  He comes out with all kinds of hysterical facial expressions, attire, and conversations.  The other day I asked Lilah and Jax who their favorite sesame street character was.  Lilah said Elmo.  Jax said, "I like Ernie and Burp!"  LOL!!!!!!!!!  Hysterical.  He thinks Bert's name is BURP!  I said, "Do you like Ernie and Bert because they remind you of you and Lilah?"  He said, "Mhmmm!"

Randomness....

I love posts that have no purpose or meaning!  Over the last week, I snapped photos of things that make me laugh and smile, sweet memories, or that are just simply random.
I was trying to capture a shot of Lilah's personalized bracelet.
Then the pranksters stepped in and ruined it!
Oh my gosh!  Like father, like son!
The comedy never ended.  This is a funny duo!!!
Not sure what's funnier, this new facial expression made often, by jax, or the bandaid on the chin - per his request of course!
Loving Ty's new baseball uniform.... "Go Storm!"
Barbie and Ken reside in our shower.
Bitty Twins' Shoes!
Lilah and Jaxon's feet could have fit into these shoes when they were first born.
God's beautiful creation right at our disposal.
This photo was taken from Lilah's bedroom window.
The boys play with the latest and greatest invention - THE IPAD!

3's Company!

We now have 4 eligible beds available for our children to sleep in (thanks to the addition of bunk beds and big boy/girl furniture), but for some reason, all three kids desire to sleep in one full size bed together. Wish I would have known this would happen :)  We could have saved quite a bit of money just buying a two bedroom house.  We play a ton of musical beds in this house... our bed excluded (98% of the time).

Before & After - "Everything BUT the Kitchen - Sink - FUN!

I love "before and after" on the wheel of fortune, so I thought I'd do one of my own.

Everyday last week I picked a few kitchen cabinets, a day, to pull everything out, wipe down, and reorganize.  On Friday, the twins were home when I decided to do the lazy susan cabinet and the spice cabinet.  In my spice cabinet, I have "everything but the kitchen sink" (before).  AND while cleaning/organizing it, I let the kids have some "sink fun" (after)

It's a BRILLIANT idea.  I came up with it all on my own (well without the use of the internet, pinterest, a friend's suggestion, a book etc...)  It's a no brainer too.  Fill the sink with soapy water.  Give your child mounds of kitchen tools and allow them to play in the water.  It's my version of an outdoor water table, only indoors.  My kids played in our double sink for almost 45 minutes - - - that's a world record for independent playtime in our home.

Lilah and Jaxon had a blast playing with the soapy water.
AHHHH!  I LOVE ORGANIZATION!  I always say, "Don't agonize, ORGANIZE!"
Lazy Susan may be lazy, but she's got a great friend to organize her!!!
And the results of water sink fun are this...  Of course, nothing really looks different.  It's just clean from spice residue and dust.

Crisafi Girls Come To Visit!

The weekend of Lilah and Jaxon's 3rd birthday, the Crisafi girls came to visit.  I totally forgot to post the photos.  :(  I have a few events I failed to post.  I'll get to it... I know you are hanging on tight waiting, aren't you?  LOL!  Don't tell me "no" if you're not.  That's rude!!

During their visit, the kids had a fantastic time playing together. Salene is the prettiest boy you'll ever meet.  She should have been a boy.  Check her out!!!

I could of sworn I took more photos during their visit (a game of kickball etc.).  If I have them on a different memory stick, you know I'll eventually post them!

It's now our turn to visit the Crisafis.  We plan to go the weekend of May 4th.  The twins and I will spend an entire weekend there, without daddy and Tyson ;( because they have baseball.  Cee Cee has a ton of plans already in place.

Goofball face that is constantly resurfacing.
3 Stooges.
Salene enjoyed these roller skates so much!
The whole clan did actually.  Ty has rollerblades though.
Princess and "cars" gear.
"Run Forest Run!"

Kite Festival

On Saturday, we took the kids the the Annual kite festival at Greenhill Park.  I am NOT sure how many years this event has taken place, but we have been to it 3 years in a row now. Tyson had his friend Josh join us.  It was sweet to hear all of them call out, in excitement, as we approached the park and they got the first sight of all of the kites in the sky.
Tyson and Josh enjoying a cold popsicle.
Liley and Jax enjoying a popsicle too!
Josh shows off his kite.
Jax's kite had an airplane on it.
Jax was having such a blast.
The wind wasn't very strong,
So this is about as high as our $1 kites would go :(
Daddy held the twins' $1 kite at shoulder height and the twins still thought it was fun.
Let's go
Fly A
Kite!!!!!!!

Create In Me A Clean Heart O Lord!

51 (B)Have mercy on me,[a] O God,
    according to your steadfast love;
according to your (C)abundant mercy
    (D)blot out my transgressions.
(E)Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
    and (F)cleanse me from my sin!
(G)For I know my transgressions,
    and my sin is ever before me.
(H)Against you, you only, have I sinned
    and done what is evil (I)in your sight,
(J)so that you may be justified in your words
    and blameless in your judgment.
Behold, (K)I was brought forth in iniquity,
    and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, you delight in truth in (L)the inward being,
    and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart.
Purge me (M)with hyssop, and I shall be clean;
    (N)wash me, and I shall be (O)whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness;
    (P)let the bones (Q)that you have broken rejoice.
(R)Hide your face from my sins,
    and (S)blot out all my iniquities.
10 (T)Create in me a (U)clean heart, O God,
    and (V)renew a right[b] spirit within me.
11 (W)Cast me not away from your presence,
    and take not (X)your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation,
    and uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways,
    and sinners will (Y)return to you.
14 Deliver me from (Z)bloodguiltiness, O God,
    (AA)God of my salvation,
    and (AB)my tongue will sing aloud of your (AC)righteousness.
15 O Lord, open my lips,
    and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 (AD)For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
    you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are (AE)a broken spirit;
    a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
18 (AF)Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
    (AG)build up the walls of Jerusalem;
19 then will you delight in (AH)right sacrifices,
    in burnt offerings and (AI)whole burnt offerings;
    then bulls will be offered on your altar.

What do you do with left over dyed eggs?

It's a well known fact... kids love to dye eggs, but they hate to eat them.  So, what do you do with the left over dyed eggs? You could make egg salad or deviled eggs, of course, but kids won't eat that either. How about using the egg shells to color a picture?  I asked the kids what they wanted to "color" and printed their request off google images, by typing in "flower coloring sheet" or "truck coloring sheet".

What you need:
1. Coloring pages 2. Dyed Eggs 3. Glue 4. Paintbrushes
Peel the eggs.

Put some glue in a bowl.
Separate the eggs shell colors.

Paint some glue onto the area you're coloring
Use the shells to fill in the coloring sheet.

Tada!
