Mother Daughter Date!

Two Saturdays ago, Darren took the boys to a VA Tech game, so I took Lilah on a mother-daughter date.  We spent from 11:30 am until 5:30 am together.
First, we went to Chick-fil-a for lunch.  We had a few sweet conversations.  She ate so well too!  Good company makes eating easier :)

Then, I took her to get a manicure/pedicure.  She always LOVES doing this.  Purple nails and green toes.

Next up, we headed off to the mall.  I brought Lilah to Bare Essentuals to get her make-up done.  This was a royal treat.  The make up artist was so good with her too.  She pretended that the make-up was fairy dust and she made sure to get each application approved by me.
There she is with her fancy make up on.
By this point, we were ready for some dessert!!
So, I took her for some ice cream.
Ben and Jerry's, mommy's favorite!!! YUM!!!

We had a really sweet time together. I know the older she gets, the more we will make time to do these mother-daughter dates.  I pray our relationship always remains close and that she feels comfortable coming to me no matter what the topic is!  I pray that I am a champion of God's work and a good Christian role model that leads Lilah to desire a relationship with the Lord. My biggest prayer is for her to know Christ and for salvation to take root in her life.
