Christmas Caroling At The Snyder Nursing Home

Over the last several months, many members, at our Church, have been visiting with the residents at the Snyder Nursing Home, on Sunday afternoons. Our church members sing with them and share the gospel. Since we've been enjoying time with them throughout the year, it only makes sense that we would celebrate Christmas with them as well. So we did! We spent an hour or more singing with them and listening to a Christmas message from Pastor Eddie. Enjoy the photos and video footage of our evening with the residents.  The photo below is blurry, but it's still sweet in my opinion.  :)
 Presley, Caleb, and Lilah.
Gretchen played the piano for each song we sang with the residents.
The residents had music sheets to sing from.  Some of our church members sat in the audience with the residents, to keep them company, while others stood and joined in from afar.
After we sang several Christmas carols, we listened to Pastor Eddie preach.
The children at WSBC had been practicing to sing, in front of the residents, for several weeks.  They sang "The Candy Cane" song after the sermon. They did an excellent job.
Then, in honor of the song that was sang, the children passed out candy canes to the residents.
It was a wonderful experience for all of us.  The elderly have always held a special place in my heart.  They have so much wisdom and so much life experience.  You can certainly learn a lot from them.  I think the children at West Salem Baptist Church brought them great joy and Christmas cheer.  Enjoy the videos below!
