A Pirate's Voyage

Tonight is our last night at Myrtle Beach.  Boo!  We "went out with a bang" and surprised the kids with tickets to "A Pirate's Voyage: Fun, Feast, and Adventure."  I really wanted our family to do something different this time around and this show was certainly different.  If you've ever been to the "Medieval Times" show, this is similar, but BETTER.
The main show began at 4:00 pm, but the doors opened at 2:30 pm and we were able to tour the gift shop, dress up like a pirate, as well as receive a face painting and tattoos. Then we enjoyed the "pre-show!"  The pre-show included sing-a-longs with the pirates and juggling.
 Treasure!!!!
Skull & Bones!!!
 Pirates!!!!
The pirates voyage is an interactive, live performance.  The crowd is separated between the "Crimson" pirates and the "Sapphire" pirates.  They battle each other on deck, in the water, and in the sky above their full-sized pirate ships.  The show included spectacular acrobatic competitions, live animals, mermaids, and so much more.

The tickets to the show included a four course pirate feast which included: creamy vegetable soup, bread, roasted chicken, bbq pork, corn on the cob, a baked potato, unlimited drinks, and a warm apple turnover.  It was probably one of the better meals we have had all week.
We purchased preferred seating, so we had incredible seats.
Three rows up from the front, in the straight away.
This was our view!!
We had our own personal pirate waiter.
It was a swashbuckling of excitement where the two pirate camps battled for lost treasure.  Our family was on the crimson side and we actually won!!!!  I was thankful for that because Tyson is really competitive and it would have disappointed him if we had lost.

 The stage/"restaurant"/ sapphire audience.

It was MOST exciting to see the enthusiasm on the kids face and to watch Lilah fist pump the air while screaming, "GO, GO, GO!!!!" as she cheered the red pirate's on. Flash photography was NOT permitted in the theatre, so my photography wasn't very well captured.  I took some video footage, which I will share, later this week (maybe even tomorrow on our ride home). Below are a few pictures I captured of the actors/actresses.
REAL sea lions performed in the show too.
They were VERY talented, if I might add.
This was Lilah's FAVORITE part of the show.  MERMAIDS!!!
The Captain!

We learned, from our waiter, that this Captain is the VOICE of the SpongeBob Square Pants song. WE are not SpongeBob viewers, but it was still a interesting fact.

Darren leaned back, during the show, and said, "This was a great choice!"  It took a few days to decide whether or NOT to do this.  I woke up one morning and said, "We're doing it!" Although pricey, we DO NOT regret purchasing these tickets ONE BIT.  I highly recommend it for all ages/sexes.
 He is so handsome!
