We hired Allison to watch the twins and we started our night at Carrabba's Italian Restaurant. His choice. Yea for us!!! Ty loves their bread/olive oil dip. He also loves their pizza, so that's what he ordered for dinner.
Check out those sweet cheeks filled with bread!!!
After dinner, we quickly headed over to our next stop, Valley View Grande Cinemas. Darren heard that the movie Diary of a Wimpy Kid came out with a sequel called Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules. The first movie was so cute and so funny, so we anticipated this movie for a few days.
Father and Son having some funny conversations. I think they were reminiscing on the "trailer", for the movie, we were about to watch. When we entered, Darren and Ty hit the restroom, I paid for our tickets. It's been at least 3 years since we've been to a movie, if not longer, so the cost for three tickets was a kill joy. $27.50 for 3 tickets. I could buy the dvd for that movie, in blue-ray, for that price.
Darren and Ty were so cute. They stood next to the advertisement for the movie. Darren had the funny idea to stand like the two actors did.
I was completely floored at the cost of a SMALL popcorn. $6.00.
Darren was yelling at me for taking pictures of the movie screen. But we and one other couple were the ONLY couple in the entire theatre room.
Mommy giving her first born baby some extra love and attention.
On the way home, I told Darren and Ty how much I enjoyed our time together as a family of three. I really miss being able to do these things with Tyson and giving him that one on one attention that we used to give him prior to the twins. Although we miss these opportunities with him, we were all so anxious to rush home and peak at Lilah and Jaxon sleeping in their cribs.
We discussed the movie in length and discussed the parts of the movie that were not glorifying to God. It was a cute movie, but we have to be really careful NOT to condone a movie or television show that is filled with non-sense/ungodliness/sinful. This movie was cute, I won't deny, but I will NOT be heading to Wal-mart when it comes out to buy the dvd. It's filled with boys lying to their parents, potty talk (fart and poop), and sibling hatred. All things we would NEVER condone Tyson doing in our home.
Dinner = $60.00
Movie + Popcorn = $34.00
Babysitter = $40.00
Memories = PRICELESS
Even though the memories are priceless, OBVIOUSLY, the total cost is WHY we do NOT take Tyson out on a date OFTEN. It was a $134.00 night just to take Tyson on a date. AAAAHHHH!
