Supplies:
Mini Marshmallows
Butterscotch Chips OR Peanut Butter
Lollipop Sticks OR Toothpicks
Q-tip Box (just for looks, not really needed)
Directions:
Cut the lollipop sticks in half!
Push a mini marshmallow onto each end of the stick.
Dip into melted butterscotch chips or peanut butter.
And walaa!
I started with the butterscotch chips, but to be honest, the chocolate doesn't melt well, so for the last 30 "q-tips", I used peanut butter.
Pros to the butterscotch chips: it resembles the color of ear watch to a "T" and it "dries", making layering of each "q-tip" mess free.
Pros to peanut butter: it's the easier of the two options because it adheres to the marshmallow EASY.
Cons to the butterscotch chips: messy to adhere to marshmallow and it doesn't melt well.
Cons to the peanut butter: it doesn't dry and it makes stacking the "q-tips" messy.
I have to say, this is so realistic looking that NOT too many were daring enough to give this a taste test. LOL! The "ear" is an edible gummy ear that I found in the candy section during Halloween.
This is PERFECT for a Halloween party snack or even a medical office party snack, especially for an Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor office. LOL!
