WSBC "Calvinists" VS. "The Dudes"

Darren, along with a group of guys from our church, started playing in a basketball league.  Today was their first game! They call themselves the "Calvinists".  They versed the "Dudes" today.  Despite Brett's 38 points, they still lost, making their season 0-1 so far. Honestly, I am just impressed that my husband, at almost age 40, has the energy he does and is fit enough to run up and down the court against players ALMOST half his age.  Look at him, above, in our fake "ESPN" magazine cover.
Before the game started our team prayed!  The entire purpose of these guys being in this league is to be salt and light in this dark world.

Salt and Light
“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." ~Matthew 5:13-16
You'll never guess who has these spiffy shoes! LOL!  Our Youth Pastor, BRETT WILLIAMS.
It's really hard capturing action shots, so I am only posting a few of my favorite, clear, action shots.
Aaron is fortunate to be so tall!!!
Brett played college basketball, so he is really carrying this team :) He is injured already though, so we are going to pray that he gets nursed back to health before the next game.
Enjoy the rest of the unedited/blurry photos from today! Our family was the only family who came out to support these guys, lol! If you would like to cheer them on, their next game is next Sunday @ 5:00 p.m.
