Vacation Bible School RECAP Video

This past week, our family as well as our entire church body, kept our evenings FILLED to the brim with serving our community and little ones at Vacation Bible School.

The week started out with our pastor a teacher, grumbling about his job, complaining about his students, stealing his students snacks, sticking his tongue out at the principal behind his back etc... (the list is endless).  He finds a bible in "Jerry Grubby's" desk (after trying to stuff trash inside of it) and is also confronted by Jerry Grubby about his problem.  His problem wasn't anything he could resolve.  He had a bad heart and there was ONLY one person who could fix it....GOD!

Enjoy viewing the video of "the teacher" Mr. Shaffer (our pastor) and his sinful ways BEFORE hearing the good news and having his heart transformed.

Through the week, the children learned that we are BORN sinners, that God is HOLY and set apart from us.  That our hearts are BAD and that WE cannot enter the presence of GOD without a substitute to take the punishment for our sins (propitiation).  PRAISE GOD, HE gave up HIS ONLY SON, JESUS CHRIST, in our place, to take His wrath.  If we REPENT (confess our sins and turn away from our sins) AND BELIEVE in Him, it will be the bridge that connects us to God.  AND ONE DAY, we will be reunited with Jesus, face to face, in Heaven.  The children learned that when we ACCEPT God's INVITATION into our lives/hearts, our hearts become NEW (regeneration).  We die to our OLD, SINFUL, ways and become a NEW PERSON.

The entire week was based off of Ezekiel 36:26

"And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."

VBS WEEKLY RECAP VIDEO

Our entire Church body worked, hand in hand, to give these children the gospel message (from teachers, to mascots, to team leaders, to dancers, to actors, to first aid volunteers, and EVEN CHEFS (who provided home cooked meals each night for the workers)).  We are praying that seeds were planted and that ONE DAY, this message will mean something to them and change their wretched hearts/sinful ways.

I will also post a few adorable photos of some of the children throughout the week.  One thing at a time people, one thing at a time.... sheeeeesh!  LOL!
