Vacation Bible School aka "VBS" started last night, at our Church, and will go through Friday. It's NOT too late to sign up your child(ren). Please visit our Church website at http://vbs.wsbaptist.org/ for details, but basically it starts at 6:30 pm and ends at 9:00 pm each night at West Salem Baptist Church. The children are learning about the Valley of Dry Bones taken from the passage found in Ezekiel 37. What does it take for these dry bones to come back to life? GOD'S WORD! He's the only one who can raise ANYTHING from the dead.
Darren is one of the mascots at VBS. His mascot name is called "The Golden Boy". It was created due to his team color yellow. I am really enjoying watching his enthusiasm, energy, and interaction with the children. God has FOR SURE brought his dead bones to life and I am so thankful that my husband is a good, GODLY man, willing to be an integral part of our church... even IF it includes eating gummy worms and real worms. Check out the photos for PROOF!!!! GROSS!
Unfortunately the ORANGE team won last night, but that's because it was a candy eating competition. If there is ONE thing Darren despises it's CANDY. TRUST ME, he'd rather eat the real worms. Bring on the physical competition and the YELLOW team is SURE to win!!!
Regardless of what team wins, the focus is meant to exalt CHRIST and GOD'S GLORY!
I'm responsible for capturing these great times. Enjoy viewing the photos below. Double click on the photo album below to see the photos in a larger format.
