Skate Park Fun!!!!

Today I rallied up my troops and headed to the Skate Center. This is Tyson's LAST week before school starts, so I am trying to fill it with many FUN-FILLED memories. Monday was errands and school supply shopping. Today... the Skate Center. BUT NOT FOR roller skating. Tyson nor the twins would have been successful at it, so we skipped it. The Skate Center also has a "Playzone" area, so the kids spent MOST of their time playing in it. This was the twins FIRST time playing there. We met Jody and Ansley there at 1:00 pm (as soon as the doors opened) and James Shelor also joined us.

At 2:30 pm, the Skate Center offered a "Sock Race" around the roller skating rink. The name speaks for itself. The races were divided by age group. Ty and James were so excited to participate. They ran with the 6-7 year olds. Ty came in 2nd or 3rd. James came in 5th or 6th. I think both had a very good standing considering there were over 10 kids in the race. The race was run to the "Price Is Right" theme song.

The highlight of the day was witnessing Jax participate in the sock race. That particular race included ages 4 and below. I wasn't sure if they were going to allow him to race because he didn't have socks, but once he agreed to race, I threw him to the wolves. He raced with Ansley. The dj announced, "On Your Mark, Get Set, GOOOOOOOOOOOO!" My brave lil man ran for his life, but he trailed WAY behind. He could care less what place he came in. He was just thrilled to be racing with the "big kids". I believe Ansley came in 2nd or 3rd also and of course Jax came in last place. The video is absolutely hysterical!!!!!!! The race was run to the "Charlie Brown" theme song. Jax is Lines.

After the sock race, the playzone fun resumed until the next fun event... dancing on the roller skate rink. Ansley, Lilah, and Jaxon joined in on the fun.
